How TSM Selects Its Future Leaders

Admission at TSM is a holistic evaluation — designed to identify candidates who combine academic strength, analytical thinking, communication ability, and leadership potential.

Selection Process Overview

At Thiagarajar School of Management (TSM), Madurai, admission is a holistic evaluation — not just a test score. Our selection process is designed to identify candidates who combine academic strength, analytical thinking, communication ability, and leadership potential. Every applicant is assessed on multiple dimensions to ensure the right fit between the student and the programme.

Your Path from Application to Admission

  1. 1
Step 1Appear for a Management Entrance Test

  2. 2

Candidates are shortlisted based on a composite of their entrance test score, prior academic performance (Class X, XII, and undergraduate degree), and relevant work experience.

  3. 3
    Step 3GD-PI-WAT Round

    Shortlisted candidates appear for:

    • Group Discussion (GD) — Evaluates communication, teamwork, and critical thinking

    • Written Ability Test (WAT) — Tests written communication and structured thinking
  4. 4
    Step 4Final Merit List

The final selection is based on a composite score across all evaluated parameters. Offers are rolled out based on the merit list.

Student Voices

What our students say

Agasia PrakashMBA Class of 2023

TSM played an integral part in my life shaping me and my career. Through the community learning and teaching pedagogies, I understood who I am, where I stand, and where I should. Such a wonderful place where each of our thoughts is valued, recognised, and reformed. When I joined in Temenos, I was in a state of confusion about how much MBA would help me there. I realised how my deep understanding of the finance concepts which I learnt in TSM helps me grasp the things quickly while applying in the workplace. I take this opportunity to thank all my professors who travelled with me, moulded, guided, and shaped me in my MBA journey.

Well, It’s my privilege to share my experience at Thiagarajar School Of Management. I feel like I have been more closely associated with my new family at TSM because I don’t feel away from my home. TSM is a very good platform to acquire the necessary skills required in a corporate world. In the Southern region I personally feel this is the best place to procure knowledge as well as skills. Life @ TSM is a life time experience. Every morning we get to learn new stuff may it be regarding academics or extracurricular. Faculties are a real asset to the institution, always ready to enrich us with knowledge. Student driven clubs, various guest lectures, cultural events keep us engaged. The LIBRARY has got so much resource; I wish I could grasp all knowledge in this short span of time (hardly 700days).

The Lush green campus at TSM provides a platform where students have great opportunity to adapt to their knowledge and talent skills. The exposure to different activities and clubs is making one more stronger to meet the new corporate world as a good professional. Overall it’s a complete package of fun and studies and I am glad to be a part of the TSM family.
