Dr. Likhil Sukumaran

Dr Likhil Sukumaran is an Assistant Professor in Systems and Analytics. He holds a PhD from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, where his research focused on consumer behaviour, gastronomic tourism, and sustainable consumption. He earned his MBA with specialisation in Marketing and Operations Management from the National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) and his Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT).

Prior to joining the institution, Dr Likhil served as an Assistant Professor at Acharya Bangalore B-School (ABBS), Bengaluru. He has also worked as a guest lecturer at St. Pius Tenth College, Kasaragod, and Manipal Academy of Higher Education. His teaching interests include Business Analytics, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Research Methodology.

Dr Likhil's research lies at the intersection of consumer analytics and emerging technologies, with a particular focus on Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), text analytics, consumer behaviour, and tourism analytics. His work leverages advanced analytical techniques to generate insights from large-scale consumer and social media data for decision-making and policy development. His current research explores AI-enabled consumer insights, destination branding, gastronomic tourism, sustainable consumption, and the impact of generative AI on higher education.
