Dr. Sivapragasam P

Dr. Sivapragasam Panneerselvam is a seasoned academic with over 15 years of experience in empowering business graduates and early career professionals. Dr. Siva specializes in developing and coaching young business leaders with a particular focus on accountability, human-centeredness, responsible leadership and sustainability.

Dr. Siva’s extensive work experiences include roles such as a Project Officer for Community-Based Rehabilitation Programs in Kanchipuram District, as a Paramedical Associate during the post Tsunami Restoration and Rehabilitation Programs, as an Associate Consultant – Market Research and Social Development Initiatives, as a Business Management Trainee HR and currently as Assistant Professor in HR with Thiagarajar School of Management, Madurai since June 2019.

Dr. Siva handles courses such as organizational behaviour, learning and development, labour legislation and administration, leadership and interpersonal effectiveness, and talent management. As a career coach, Dr. Siva leads continuous industry-institution interface initiatives to provide immersive learning and deep dive about the future of work. Dr. Siva’s research has been published in ABDC, Scopus and UGC Care Listed journals. Dr. Siva is the recipient of various awards such as the Best Reviewer of Excellence Awards 2025, Topmost HR Leaders Tamil Nadu Awards by Asia Pacific HRD Congress (2024), UGC Junior Research Fellowship (June 2009), Dr. Kothari Award for Research (2008), Best Outgoing Student (II MSW, 2008), Best Paper Awards in several international conferences including IIMs, etc.

Dr. Siva is a proud alumnus of Pondicherry University (PhD), the Madras School of Social Work, Chennai (MSW) and the Christian Medical College, Vellore (PGDCHM). Dr. Siva is a life member with the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM, Madras Chapter), National HRD Network (NHRD Chennai Chapter), Indian Society of Training and Development (ISTD Chennai Chapter) and the Dindigul District HR Foundation (DDHRF). A native of Puducherry, Dr. Siva presently lives in Madurai with his family.
