Dr. Packiaraj Thangavel

Dr. Packiaraj Thangavel is an Assistant Professor of Marketing & Strategy at Thiagarajar School of Management (TSM), Madurai, Tamil Nadu. A firm believer in the power of empathy and compassion, Dr. Thangavel draws inspiration from Charlie Chaplin’s words: “You need power only when you want to do something harmful; otherwise, love is enough to get everything done.”

He holds a PhD in Marketing Management from the Department of Management Studies & Industrial Engineering (DMSIE), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Dhanbad. Prior to his doctoral studies, he served as a Teaching Associate at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) and as a Lecturer at DC School of Management and Technology, Vagamon, Kerala. Dr. Thangavel’s research has been published in reputed international journals, including Benchmarking: An International Journal, Global Business Review, and Vision: The Journal of Business Perspective and Sage Open. He has also authored a book chapter published by Routledge (Taylor & Francis). Passionate about Political Marketing growth, he is exploring how demographic shift shapes Indian Politics and economic development.
